Monkey before Monkey.

When I was living in the company barracks in Mount Isa, 40+ years ago, I passed more than a few hours watching this.

 
Recently I happened across an earlier version of the tale – created in Shanghai just on 60 years ago.

The animation is incredibly fluid, particularly compared to the kids stuff I was watching after school.
