President Trump’s lesson to the ‘conservative’ leaders of the Anglosphere.

Not everybody wants to be your friend, even if you want to be their friend. So choose your friends carefully and let the rest know where the line is drawn. That includes people within your own borders.

Don Surber lays it out:

“Having finally wrested control of the [NY] state Senate, Democrats decided to give illegal aliens driver’s licenses again. Republican Governor George Pataki ended the practice in 2001. Democrats said they would not share the information with ICE. The courts sided with Democrats.
President Trump said fine. Since we no longer know whether a New York driver’s license belongs to a citizen or a terrorist who is in America illegally, New York no longer is in the trusted traveler program. The line starts over there to get approved to travel.

And sure enough, there’s a big red flag on the Official Trusted Traveler page.

As Don points out, this move by New York state governor Andrew Cuomo – a Democrat, natch! – was an attempt to protect illegal aliens. But Trump, being Trump, turned the game around. ICE will have a considerably easier job finding illegals in the state, thanks to the list of licence owners that Cuomo, kicking and screaming, will supply in return for the restoration of Trusted Traveller status.

I’d like to see a touch of Trump in Scott Morrison. I’m not the only one, either.
