I’m not familiar with the writing of Freddy Gray, but he nails the non-event of the Oscars so well in this article.

  2. Just think about it. All these people do for a living is make faces. That’s basically what actors do. They speak someone else’s words, do what the director tells them to do -sit, stand, walk, throw ash tray across room- and they make faces. They produce nothing, The invent nothing. They only make faces.
