Good deed + punishment = meme.

In September this year a firefighter in Ohio resigned for saying that if he had to choose between saving a dog and a black man, he’d give the dog first priority. No reasonable human being has a problem with that.

Problem is, some human beings just aren’t reasonable.

In the midst of those hellish Californian wildfires a man stopped to rescue a rabbit. The response of some has been interesting to say the least.

If this collection of tweets is a fake, please advise me and provide a link. I’ve tried to find confirmation one way or the other but no luck.

Save a bunny, and you’re a racist. Assuming you’re not a person of colour yourself, which impossible to determine from the original video.

You know what terrifies some people? The horror so appalling that just thinking that it might happen twists their silly little brains like bubble gum?

In The Great South Land we used to call them wowsers.

If I didn’t have a sense of humour, I might well have become one myself.

  1. Wait, did the dude from Ohio actually say any reasonable person would save a dog over a black man? Or is it that no reasonable person would argue that resigning was the best thing for him to do? The thing with the rabbit being saved was all over the news out here, though if it was faked, that was never reported, at least when I’ve listened to the radio

    • “Or is it that no reasonable person would argue that resigning was the best thing for him to do?”
I was hoping the ‘wattaracist’ tweets would be exposed as some kind of 4chan-style prank, but so far no such exposure.
