While the global focus has been on America – and, er, one or two Americans particularly, we saw truckloads of Fake News here in The Great South Land in the final months of the Circus of Ineptitude. Tony Abbott, then Opposition leader, was targeted on an almost daily basis. Scandalizing headline > additional facts > scandal evaporates. Repeat. Some stories were lucky to last from sunup to sundown.

And yet the Mendacious Selective Media kept at it. Like Bullwinkle reaching into that hat for the rabbit.
