Sign of the times – or is it MY time?

A man begins to wonder if he’s getting old when young women offer him a seat on the bus.

  1. When that type of somewhat awkward moment occurs to me (as in opening a door) I nod and say: “Ahh yes, age before beauty”. I get a slightly embarrassed but lovely smile.

  2. I have been spared thus far. I look young for my age. And I act immaturely.

    • The acting immaturely part has never been a problem for me. There was a long spell in my 20s 30s and 40s when people would stare at the wet spot on my pants, but now…

  3. Young women offering you their seats? Sounds OK to me.

    • If it was pat on the knee, saucy wink, ‘Park yourself here, handsome’ offering, hell, I’d just live on the bus. Sadly, though…

      • Try air travel; you know… air stewardesses… turbulence… etc

        • Good point. I might have to reconsider my preference for a window seat.
