There are currently nine living recipients of the Victoria Cross. Four of them are Australian.

Ben Roberts-Smith, Daniel Keighran, Mark Donaldson and Keith Payne have been honoured in a series of special medallions created by Soldier On. Former police constable Michael Pratt, recipient of the George Cross, is also featured.

Soldier On is a part of the growing support among Australian civilians for their men and women in uniform. They organise a wide range of activities, and have recently added a Junior Care Pack to the products available from their online store.

Here are Brendan Nelson, Director of  the Australian War Memorial, and Chief of Army Lt Gen David Morrison speaking at the launch.

I’m going to stick with Christmas packages and calendars from Gina, but the Soldier On store has plenty of options. Have a look through, please. And you’ll find more information about the medallions here.
