Solo Christmas? What’s not to like?

I’ve spent most of my Christmases alone in the last twenty years, and I just want to say it’s one of my favourite days of the year. It took some getting used to but now I enjoy it, and actually feel I’m being patronised to some extent when people say “Oh, Christmas on your own… that must be awful…”
No, it’s not awful. It’s bloody well fantastic.
I do the same as everyone else. I eat too much, I drink too much, and then I pass out on the couch.
The difference is, I get to do it all in my boxer shorts.
