Brown Town – a (mini) musical.

Bob Brown, leader of the Australian Greens, would like to lead us back into a pretechnological nirvana.

You might think the Cadaverous Dendrophile (look it up) fancies himself as a modern Robin Hood.

“Robbing the rich to feed the poor,” thought Bob. “Yes, that’s me…. uck! Kissing girls. Adam Bandt can handle that part.”

A medieval existence has some appeal, I admit. Apart from the general indifference to personal hygiene, the emptying of chamberpots into the streets, the Black Plague, the obscene levels of infant mortality… on second thoughts, forget it.

But Bob would take us back even further than that. Something like about 50,000 years.

  2. Hi,
I also put in a post on brown town, a great song, and all of it true.

    • Brown, I suspect, is the type who can stand loftily above abuse and insult but can’t deal with being satirised.

  3. By the way, now the Yoof are starting to challenge the orthodoxy of the Warmenist Teacher-Preacher Class… through rap.

Whenever a new generation discovers that they can “Question Authority!”… look out! 😀

    • That’s a good clip, but I can’t quite get my head around the idea of a German anti-global warming rapper… clearly that guy didn’t inherit the goosestep gene.

  4. “Brown Town”, funny as it may be is short on laughs once one realises how serious the situation is with this clown having the balance of power…I just shake my head in disbelief at the tossers who voted anywhere near green.

    • No doubt Patrick that we are in for a rough ride now the Greens hold the balance of power. Unfortunately it probably needed this to make the wider populace aware of just what a danger they are.
Jo Nova and other bloggers highlighted some of the policies the Greens were happy to make public on their website. Those that didn’t read like a schoolgirl’s plan for world peace and happiness were just dangerous.
