Thank you Bill Hicks, for saying it so well.

I’d like to dedicate this to the unknown unnamed people who are so persistent in their efforts to fill my answering machine with calls I have no intention of returning.

The documentary American: the Bill Hicks Story, was screened at Revelation this year. This piece is a good introduction to the movie and the man.

  1. Hi,
Yep, that is why I don’t have an answering machine, used to ages ago, got sick of it.

    • With these new devices that make multiple calls simultaneously, the messages are rarely more than ten seconds of dead air. If one of those calls is answered the others all disconnect; but you’d think they might try to analyse the stats and see if any particular line is consistently non-responsive. And maybe scrub it from the list. I’m just planting seeds here…
Mags, was that you swooning over Sean Connery on Bolt’s blog during the week?

  2. Hi,
I do read Andrew’s blog, not every day, but most days, I hardly ever read the comments just too many to go through. No wasn’t me, I’ve never commented on his blog, seems there are plenty of comments without me adding to them. Seems Mags is a popular name, I had a lot of trouble here at WordPress as well, I went right up to number 23, gave up and put in the x and that done the trick.
