Ladies and gentlemen,
Later this year you will have the opportunity to vote for your next President. I realise the choice is difficult. You have an incumbent who hasn’t peformed according to expectations – or at least not according to the expectations of those who voted for him. Those who gave their support elsewhere have been drowning in schadenfreude for some time now. And yet the Republican party has behaved like a boozy flirt, pouncing on one candidate after another before casting them aside with pique and petulance.
It is clear that you cannot fall back upon the old party loyalties. Not this year, and perhaps not ever again.
The word ‘radical’ has unpleasant connotations in the political context but I feel obliged to use it. Radical measures are your only hope in the coming presidential campaign.
The option I present will be shocking, and with that in mind I have prepared a modified version of my proposal, which you may view here. Otherwise, please continue to read below the line.
Here it is, folks. It might not be the perfect solution, but so far, you haven’t come up with anything better.
Given the attributes of these notables it seems quite appropriate to say: click on the image for the larger view.
I urge you to distribute this to all your friends, neighbours, and especially those who think election day is a great excuse to stay home with the TV and drink beer.
Thank you for your attention.
